Educated as Captain and Chief Engineer, Charles worked 15 years for Maersk Line in various senior leadership positions in fleet management, operations and network, as well as MD of several countries. He has been involved in many business integration, process improvements projects (lean) and cost efficiency initiatives. As well as M&A activities, leading the fleet and network integration project of the world’s largest and third largest container vessels’ fleet.
Fourteen years as an independent consultant in strategic planning, benchmarking of container ports competitiveness, liner network optimisation, and for the last 6 years as a bridge between technology and business, enabling real transformation via standardisation, digitalisation and tailor-made software.
Charles has been facilitating LinerGame for the last 10 years around the world. He loves facilitating games as learning through play taps into our natural instincts to experiment, make mistakes, and adapt. The hands-on workshop is a very efficient way to learn as the immersive collective experiential learning provides lasting cognitive impact of active engagement.
